Michael Hawes, vocal ensemble

Michael Hawes graduated from Northwestern University in 2014 with a

degree in vocal performance and trumpet. He is member of the Chicago

Symphony Chorus, Music of the Baroque Chorus, Grant Park Symphony

Orchestra Chorus and Chicago Bach Project Chorus. As a soloist, Michael

has performed the roles of Seneca, Mercurio and Littore in Monteverdi’s

L’incoronazione di Poppea in Weimar, Germany. He made his solo vocal

debut with Chicago's Music of the Baroque at the Divine World Chapel in

April 2015, and he performed songs from Schumann’s Cycle Dichterliebe

at the Moritzburg Chamber Music Festival in August 2015.
